The ideal candidates will possess two to five years of commercial experience, preferably in one or more of the following disciplines: commercial finance; securities; municipal/commercial transactions; federal/state taxation and tax planning; estates, wills and trusts; business and succession planning; commercial real estate transactions or business litigation. We are seeking skills in tax research, preparation of documents and working with a team on transactional matters. We are also seeking experienced and highly motivated Litigation Associates to join our practice. The ideal candidates will possess two to five years of litigation experience, preferably in one or more of the following disciplines: medical mal-practice; insurance defense; products liability; business and civil litigation; professional liability; environmental or employment law defense. These associates will assist in all aspects of trial and case development, including the drafting of pleadings, producing pre-trial discovery, engaging in witness development and preparation, performing legal research, drafting briefs, engaging in motions practice, and participating in trials. Successful candidates can expect significant courtroom experience and client contact. Responsibilities include research, document preparation, compiling evidence and supporting information, arranging for notices and prepare and file briefs and exhibits, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, summary judgment motions and white papers; composing legal abstracts, overseeing case files and calendar. We are also seeking full-time legal secretaries for supporting sophisticated and challenging legal work. Successful candidates should possess strong word processing skills, ability to transcribe and have strong organizational capabilities in a fast paced environment.
