HARRISONBURG - The law firm of Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver PLC is pleased to announce that Travis W. Vance have joined the firm.
Travis W. Vance is a native of Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia and came home to the Valley after practicing law in Columbia, South Carolina for nearly three years. Mr. Vance earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., where he majored in American Studies, graduating cum laude. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Prior to becoming associated with the firm, Mr. Vance tried matters in South Carolina Magistrate’s and Circuit Courts, as well as Federal District Court. He has also appeared on behalf of clients at numerous motion hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Mr. Vance assisted with preparation for the first jury trial held in the Orangeburg County, South Carolina Probate Court and the dissolution of the first rural electric cooperative dissolved in South Carolina. Mr. Vance is admitted to practice in Virginia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
