WHARTON ALDHIZER & WEAVER PLC RECOGNIZES IRENE KNISS

Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver PLC congratulates Irene Kniss for being selected to the American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board (ALNCCB) who administers the Legal Nurse Consultant Certified program. The board was founded in 1997 by the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). The ALNCCB is made up of six board members and a public representative.

Ms. Kniss began working as a registered nurse in 1977. She is licensed as a registered nurse in Virginia, and has been licensed in Florida and Ohio. She has experience in Emergency Room, Medical Surgical, Critical Care, Cardiac, Pulmonary, Pediatric and Oncology Nursing. She has practiced in hospital, extended care facility, outpatient and physician office settings.

Irene began working at WAW in 1999. She obtained her certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant in 2003 after completing the pre-requisites and passing the certification exam. This certification is provided through the Board of Nursing. She is currently a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

Irene participates in the Central Shenandoah Valley Nurses' Association yearly conferences to stay in touch with modern nursing. She also participates in medical seminars and conferences to stay current in her medical knowledge.

Irene has been a guest lecturer and panelist for the local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, and local nursing programs at James Madison University, Eastern Mennonite University and Blue Ridge Community College.
