Ashley H. Waterbury joined Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver in 2015. She practices in the areas of civil litigation, intellectual property litigation, local government law, employment law, and corporate and business law. She has prepared briefs filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as represented clients in matters before general district courts and circuit courts in Virginia. Ashley also drafts and reviews contracts for a local government entity and works with companies on compliance with state and federal employment laws.
Ashley received her J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she worked as a student attorney in the Washington and Lee Tax Clinic and served as executive editor of the Journal of Energy, Climate, and the Environment. She received her B.A. in history from the University of Virginia.
Ashley lives in the Harrisonburg area with her husband, Tom. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, hiking throughout the Shenandoah Valley, and reading fiction and biographies.
